Mark coached me for my PCA First Timers Show. I previously had PT with Mark so when I decided I wanted to compete, I knew I wanted him to coach me. Before working with Mark I had tried out multiple PTs and diet plans but nothing worked. My main goal was to lose weight so I mainly stuck to cardio, and stayed away from weights. Mark provided me with a workout plan suited to my goals, as well as a personalised nutrition plan. He completely transformed the way I train, introducing me to weights and pushing myself to failure. This has increased my confidence in the gym massively. Mark is always available in the gym if I need help, or even via WhatsApp when I have a question. Before starting with Mark, I was feeling quite lost with my training and lacked a bit of focus and structure. Been training with Mark for 3 years - my first intro to proper PT strength training at 50 years old. Best thing I ever did fitness-wise. He has so much knowledge and experience - not just about training/diet but everything body health related. Has an amazing ability to gauge a client’s level quickly and ensures you train optimally with no risk of injury. Pushes you hard but safely. Tells you the truth about your training with no BS. Sessions are fun, whilst tough, because he has a great sense of humour. Training is hard for sure but with a lot of laughing. Highly recommend.
I’ve trained twice a week with Mark now for six months. Our 1/2 hour sessions have become a vitally important part of my week. After spending years in commercial gyms and not making progress, the community that Mark has crafted, and the expertise he applies to your goals, are exceptional. If you like: Being pushed to real fatigue where you cannot do another rep. Advice that is tailored to your own goals, whatever they are, and whatever level you’re starting at. Being held to account and to a high standard. Being told ‘this is going to hurt’, while being smiled at 😀 Feeling incredible, more capable and stronger than you could ever believe. Then Mark is your coach. He will match and bring the energy you turn up to each session with. Don’t bring nonsense to him. He’s too busy, and he’s not there to sort your life out. I started training with Mark when I was 37, at that time I had no real gym experience or nutritional knowledge. Initially my target was to gain weight, this quickly turned into a desire to compete.
